Product Care & Safety

At Forged Momentum Co, every product is crafted to elevate your space through premium fragrance and thoughtful design. To enjoy your products safely and achieve the best performance, please follow the care recommendations below.

Candle Care

Before Every Burn

  • Trim your wood wick to approximately 3–5 mm before lighting.

  • Remove any burnt wood from previous burns.

  • Always place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface.

  • Keep away from drafts, fans and open windows.

First Burn

The first burn is the most important.

Allow the candle to burn until the melted wax reaches close to the edge of the jar. This usually takes between 2–4 hours, depending on the candle size.

This helps prevent tunnelling and promotes an even burn throughout the life of the candle.

During Use

  • Never burn a candle for more than 4 hours at a time.

  • Never leave a burning candle unattended.

  • Keep away from children and pets.

  • Do not move a candle while the wax is molten.

  • Stop burning when approximately 10 mm of wax remains at the bottom of the jar.

Wood Wick Tips

Wood wicks provide a beautiful ambient flame and subtle crackling sound.

If your flame becomes small:

  • Extinguish the candle.

  • Allow the wax to cool completely.

  • Trim away the charred wood.

  • Relight the candle.

A properly maintained wood wick will produce a cleaner, more consistent burn.

Wax Melt Safety

Our soy wax melts are designed for use in approved wax warmers only.

  • Use only with a suitable wax warmer.

  • Never add water.

  • Never place wax directly on a stovetop or open flame.

  • Keep away from children and pets.

  • Never leave a warmer unattended while in use.

Allow the wax to cool completely before removing or replacing it.

Storage

To preserve fragrance quality:

  • Store products in a cool, dry place.

  • Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.

  • Keep products away from excessive heat.

Proper storage helps maintain both fragrance strength and product appearance.

General Safety

Home fragrance products should always be used responsibly.

Never use candles or wax warmers near curtains, bedding or other flammable materials.

Always follow the safety labels supplied with your product.
